Cristiano Ronaldo Reaches 900-Goal Milestone
Cristiano Ronaldo reached a remarkable milestone by scoring his 900th career goal during Portugal’s 2-1 victory over Croatia in the UEFA Nations League yesterday, Thursday 5 September.
The 39-year-old forward doubled Portugal’s lead in the 34th minute with a close-range finish from a Nuno Mendes cross, after Diogo Dalot had opened the scoring just seven minutes into the match.
Ronaldo’s goal not only secured the hosts’ win, but also underscored his relentless pursuit of excellence. Reflecting on the achievement, he acknowledged the hard work required to reach this point, joking that “records haunt” him.
Since moving to Saudi club Al-Nassr in 2023, Ronaldo has continued to score prolifically, with 68 goals in 74 appearances. Despite his age, he remains focused on reaching his next target: 1 000 career goals.
Ronaldo’s enduring form ensures his status as one of football’s greatest players.
As Portugal prepares to face Scotland, all eyes remain on Ronaldo, who shows no signs of slowing down as he continues to break new ground.
